The Škoda Kamiq is the right choice when you want to go off the main roads. Its ground clearance handles unpaved tracks to remote beaches in the south (Ada Bojana area), forest roads in Durmitor, and the gravel approach to Biogradska Gora lake.
With 5+ seats and a full boot, it is the most comfortable option for families. Four adults with a week's luggage fit without playing Tetris. The higher seating position also makes long driving days easier — the Podgorica–Kolašin–Durmitor–Kotor loop covers around 400 km.
In winter (November 15 – March 31), our fleet comes with snow tyres fitted as standard. The Škoda Kamiq's higher capability means you can reach Žabljak (1,450 m) or the Lovćen plateau reliably even after snowfall.
Not ideal for: strict city-only itineraries where parking in tight Kotor or Budva lots is the main concern (an economy or compact car is easier to manoeuvre there).
Yes. The main road from Podgorica to Žabljak (Durmitor) is fully paved, around 200 km and 2.5 hours. The approach to the Black Lake parking area is also paved. For forest tracks within the park, ground clearance helps — the Škoda Kamiq handles them comfortably.
On main roads and the Lovćen serpentine, no — any car manages those. The difference shows on unpaved coastal access roads (Velika Plaža south of Ulcinj), gravel forest roads near Biogradska Gora, and in winter when snow covers mountain passes. The Škoda Kamiq gives you flexibility for all of these.
Yes. From November 15 to March 31, all vehicles in our fleet are fitted with M+S / winter tyres at no extra charge. This is also required by Montenegrin law for winter mountain driving — it is included automatically.
